Unique Self Coaching Process™
Founded on the work of Marc Gafni, D.Phil., the Unique Self Coaching Process (USCP) moves us from our mistaken identity in the False Self to our true identity as unique expressions of the love-intelligence that animates creation’s evolutionary story.
Mistaken, alienated and separate, the False Self drives destructive behavior and keeps us from becoming all we were created to be. The USCP is comprised of a set of practices, the first of which break open the pattern of the False Self and liberate us to develop and grow.
As we break out of our False Self Pattern, we come to know that we are not separate at all. We are One, one True Self. This insight lies at the heart of “Eastern” enlightenment teachings. But who or what is the True Self? It is love itself, but not the emotion we call love. Rather it is the creative power interpenetrating creation; it is the evolutionary impulse reaching towards beauty. The USCP offers practices that enable and deepen our realization of the True Self.
True Self is a foreign concept in strictly “modern” societies in part because “enlightenment” in the West is focused on self-actualization. As Marc Gafni likes to point out, it seems ridiculous that the universe would take 13.82 billion years to make a YOU and then want YOU to absorbed into the One.
Yet it is essential that we live into the reality that we are not separate, we are True Self, we are One, for this is the source of life’s creative purpose and power.
True Self is an essential step in our development and growth, but it is not the final step, nor the goal.
Once we recognize our fundamental Oneness, it becomes obvious that we are each a unique expression of that True Self, a truly Unique Self. The USCP works to discover the character of Unique Self through the parts of our lives that are lived in shadow, where shame plays a role in how we are formed. It takes great courage, but when we are able to look deeply into this aspect of ourselves, we discover the light of our Unique Self that has been covered in shadow. It also helps us to shine a light on our “greatness” . . . the gifts and talents unique to us that comprise what we have to offer the world. Finally we ask the question, “To what end?” Each of us is a unique, irreplaceable expression of the love intelligence that is unfolding creation’s evolutionary story. Each of us has an essential role to play. We are called to live out our role in evolution’s story. This is what gives our life value, beauty and purpose. You and only you are qualified to live your part in the story. 
Only you can perform the creative dance of love in your sphere of influence. This is what it means to be an Evolutionary Unique Self, the final phase in our process . . . opening us to Spirit’s next step in our lives.
The USCP is not a one time thing, it is a lifetime of exploration and growth. You are a unique expression of the love intelligence animating creation. However you take this journey, I hope you will seek to answer the call, and I would love to help you on your way.
